Pirate Boat and T-Shirt Story
piece of paper (standard notebook paper is ideal, Newspaper is better for a big audience):

Fold a proper paper boat:

Make sure the short edges are on the top and bottom before you start. :

1. Fold the paper in half from top to bottom. :
2. Fold in half again, this time from left to right. Then unfold this. :
3. Fold the top corners down to meet the fold line made in step 2. :
Your figure should now look more or less like a house. :
4. Fold the top layer of the bottom flap up as far as you can go. Turn over the paper and repeat this step. :
5. Put your fingers into the bottom of the figure. Open it like a pocket, and squash it down flat to make a diamond. :
There will be two flaps on the bottom corner, one which overlaps the other. Make sure the flaps are not creased at the bottom corner. (The order of the flaps is not important.) Turn over the paper and repeat. :
6. Fold the bottom corner up to meet the top corner. Turn over and repeat this step. :
7. Again, put your fingers in the bottom of the origami. Open it like a pocket, and squash it down flat to make a diamond 8. 9. . :
Your origami should now look like a diamond, made out of two triangles, one on the left, and the other on the right. :
10. Lightly clutch the triangles and pull them apart from each other. Carefully shape your boat. You are done! Good job! :

The Story

Once upon a time there was a boat full of terrible pirates. (show the boat)

One day the boat was sailing through the Bermuda Triangle when all of a sudden a mysterious and giant wave crashed the boat to the rocks! The whole front end of the boat was shattered!!!! (rip off the front end of the boat)

The boat listed wildly and floundered when along came another mysterious and giant wave that crashed the boat to the rocks. The whole back end was shattered!!!! (rip off the back end of the boat)

The boat floundered and turned upside-down and sank to the bottom of the sea where the entire top was ripped off by a nasty bed of coral. (rip off the top point of the boat)

Many have searched for the treasure the pirate ship carried but all that was found was the Captain's T-shirt. (unfold the paper – it looks like a little shirt!)

-it's a fact!
