     Check for Comprehension
     *Start the book by making predictions.
     *Ask questions and make comments during the reading. 
     *After reading a book, have your child tell you the events from the story in the correct order. 
     *After reading ask: "What was the problem in this story?" or "How did the character feel when....?"
     *Make connections to the story: "Does the story remind you of anything that happened in your life?"
