What activities were you involved in when you were in college?

I was in Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority at Temple. I was in a professional dance company and taught dance to children in several pre-schools. I was a performer at Six Flags Great Adventure in a musical variety show. I choreographed and assistant directed my High School’s spring musical.

Who inspired you to become a teacher?

I come from a family of educators. My mother, sister, and cousin are all teachers. My daughter is a teacher, too.

What hopes do you have for your students’ future?

I hope my students develop a long lasting love of learning. I hope they follow their curiosity to learn as much about their world as possible. I hope they learn to be generous, helpful and kind citizens.

Were there any other careers you thought about before choosing teaching?

Yes! I wanted to work on Broadway in musical theater and I wanted to teach art.
