Math Activities
- Counting
- Practice counting by 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s ... all the way to 120
- Money
- Practice identifying coins and their values
- Time
- Practice telling time to the hour and half hour on an analog clock. Learn the difference between AM and PM.
- Math Facts
- By the end of 2nd Grade, students are expected to answer 100 addition and subtraction problems (sums up to 20) in 5 minutes. That is an average of 20 problems per minute.
- Ways to practice Math Facts at home:
- Reflex Math (on the computer or ipad using your homeroom teacher's log in - information can be found on her website)
- Flash cards (homemade or store bought)
- Worksheets
- Dominoes (games to play using dominoes)
- Playing Cards (games to play using playing cards)
- Online Games
- Oral practice (in the car, while getting ready for bed, during dinner, etc.)
- Reflex Math (all students)
