Hello Harker Family,

My name is Mrs. Carol Bauer.  Let me tell you a bit about myself.

* I began my college education at East Stroudsburg University in PA, then received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University, also in PA (1980).

* I have taught elementary school for 20 years, 18 of those here in the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District, teaching in a 3rd grade general ed. classroom, and also 3rd and 4th grade ACES. 

* I have been a resident of Woolwich Twp. since 1992.  This means I have seen ALL of the growth our township has experienced. In 1992, there were 387 students in grade P-K to 6. Now, there are around 1,800. We have gone through growing pains, but have come out strong.

 * My husband and I have three grown children who have all attended school in the Swedesboro-Woolwich and Kingsway School Districts. They all graduated from Rowan University, and are out on their own. 

* I am the very proud grandmother of seven beautiful grandchildren. They are my joy.

* I love to read, and can definitely be called a "chain reader", sometimes reading/listening to more than one book at a time.  Hence, my love of teaching children about reading and the magic books offer them. I also love to bake, draw, and garden. 

We all have our own unique personalities, and I love getting to know and celebrate the personality of each student. I learn so much from them each year.  I look forward to getting to know my new 3rd grade class this year.
